Winter Birds Arrive En Masse

This morning heralded my old buddy Sam Peabody (aka white-throated sparrow). He scratched around below the feeder while I fed the chickens at sunup. Just now, the brushy area at the edge of the yard yielded—get this:
A golden-crowned kinglet,
Yellow-rumped warblers,
A pine sisken, and
Two yellow-bellied sapsucker!

Josh Teaching Art at Madison-Mayodan Rec Center

The Madison-Mayodan Recreation Department is pleased to announce a new class, Introduction to Drawing Fundamentals, which will be held on Saturdays, 10 a.m. to noon, from November 7 to December 5. Josh Sutcliffe, a member of the Art Alliance of Greensboro, is the instructor. Ages 9 and up, adults are welcome.
