Squirrel Problem? Call the Cops

Gibsonville's Most Wanted
Cops in Gibsonville may soon be adding Pest Control Officer to their titles if the chief of police has his way. Seriously, at an official meeting with the Board of Aldermen, the chief stated his intention to ask the state for a permit to allow his officers to shoot delinquent squirrels in town limits. Apparently a local man has had it with the fuzzy bastards eating the pecans in his backyard trees, but the town no longer allows him to shoot the squirrels himself. Traps haven’t worked (any birder could’ve told him that was a futile effort) and he’s pissed about what he claims is $600 in lost nuts.
You know, I understand a man’s desire to protect his nuts and all, but asking for police protection seems a little over the top. Must not be much happening in Gibsonville these days if the cops have time for this.
Also, there’s a much easier and cheaper solution to this problem: Tree netting. And also, you really can’t ever stop the squirrels from eating your nuts.

I imagine the squirrels outnumber the police officers. He should give it up….squirrels always win.

Delinquent squirrels? Don’t think I’ve ever seen a squirrel out past 9:00 p.m. As long as they don’t break curfew, what’s the problem? Geesh, all over $600. The man has too much time on his hands and the police are fools for pandering to him. They all need to read a newspaper, or their 401(k) statement. PS, I voted for Sam Peabody. LOVE IT!!!!

If Peabody were running that town, he would have nipped this in the bud.
