Donna from Timberlake, NC, got a fantastic up-close look at a migrating male rose-breasted grosbeak on May 9. Well, technically her husband got this shot, but they’ve both seen RBGs at their place this spring. (Read Donna’s account of this sighting.) Grosbeak sightings don’t get much better than this, do they? Also, fantastic lawn, Donna!
Commenter Dan mentions Hilton Pond’s amazing shots of male and female rose-breasted grosbeaks they recently banded. Check out all the pics on that page while you’re at it. The indigo bunting is gorgeous!
