Happy and Tito are forming a fast friendship. They’re already posing for CD covers for the hipster band they would form if they had opposable thumbs.

Seriously, they really get along like gangbusters: wrestling hard, followed by equally hard napping, traipsing after each other around the yard and house. This afternoon’s events included a long game of tug-o-war with a stick, each dog gripping an end in its teeth and running up and down the yard together. Totally sealed the deal for me, to be honest. Lots of kind and generous folks have offered to adopt Tito if his owners don’t come forth, but Josh and I talked it over this afternoon and we’ve decided to let him stick around. (Tito gets his own blog tag with this post in honor of our decision.) Considering how well our “we think we want another dog” idea went, the next time we think we want a dog, we’re going to wish for a million bucks instead.
