Full House (Finch)

male house finch

House finches are invading in massive numbers today. The eastern redbuds as I type this are hosting 12 that I can see, and I know there are many more in the woods because they are singing their little heads off. We’re having flurries today, and a convergence of high and low fronts are provoking the birds to flock together and eat every seed from my feeders.

Love, love, love this little birdie pic! You’re working the new design too. I’m jealous you have even a flurry. In Raleigh now, there’s just rain. :(

Hey Carla! Don’t be too jealous–the snow’s not sticking yet. But the flurries are creating a nice ambiance. Not sure how I feel about the new design yet, but I like the left/right columns and I think the text is easier to read. The sans serif headers are a little boring, though; might have to tweak the style sheet a little.

Hey, I tried commenting on your blog, but it will only let me comment as a Blogger user. Didn’t want you to think I wasn’t visiting. I’m enjoying your posts!

Heya — I changed the settings over the weekend, so it should work with Open ID, et al. Let me know. I think the only thing it won’t accept now is anonymous posts. Hey, thanks for the link to My Back Yard!
