Dark-eyed Juncos still in the Triad
February 8th, 2007 · No Comments
Hadn’t seen any Dark-eyed Juncos for a week or so, but they seem to have returned in full force in the past few days. So where were they hiding out, I wonder? Guilford Courthouse Military Park was teeming with Juncos yesterday afternoon, especially in the midsize trees and brush near the Nathaniel Greene statue. This male Junco was enjoying the sun, sitting on the branch for quite a while. A flock of 30 or so Juncos has also been showing up around 9:00 every morning in the parking lot on the park end of the complex.
