I’m surprised I haven’t written about my Eastern Bluebird sightings before, as I see them virtually every day in the “Death of Stewart” meadow (download the map and find Stewart Monument) in Guilford Courthouse Military Park.

Bird List: 5 reasons to love the Nuthatch

Lack of a neck make them even cuter.
Long, pointy beak makes them look smart and pretentious.
They mutter like quiet geese.
Huge feet in proportion to their bodies—always cute.
They look like 1930s film stars with slicked-back Copacabana-ready hairdos and tuxes.
